Is it allowed or prohibited to take the photos in London museums (like British museum, Museum of London, National Gallery etc.) ?

You can take photos in many London museums. Whether you can or you can't take photos depends on the museum's visitor regulations. Some museums or galleries allow to take photos, but not for every purpose, not with every type of camera, not with a selfie stick or not with a flash.

Taking of photos or videos with regular camera or mobile phone is usually allowed only for private and non-commercial purposes.

British Museum - except where indicated by notices, you are permitted to take photos.

Museum of London - you can take photos with camera or mobile phone.

National Gallery - you can take photos for a non-commercial purposes, but there are some exceptions.
