EU intends to abolish 1 and 2 cent euro coins, to reduce the production costs of coins and to simplify cash payments. The aim is to withdraw 1 and 2 cent coins from circulation. But they still remain legal tender, until the legislation changes. Cash payments should be rounded according to a rounding rules. When the final price will be for example 17.34 € or 17.36 €, after rounding to the nearest 5 cents, it will be 17.35 €. | |||||||||||
