Is Oxford street to be fully or partially pedestrianised ?
Is Oxford street in London going to be fully or partially pedestrianised ?
Where will be the pedestrian zone on Oxford street ?
Because Oxford street is quite long, only the short part of it is going to be pedestrianised.
The pedestrianisation should be the section between Orchad street (the west of Selfridges) and Great Portland Street (the way to the east of Ikea).
Pedestrian zone should be approx. 0.6 miles (almost 1 km) long. It should include 2 tube stations: Oxford street and Bond street.
The pedestrianisation of Oxford street should start this year. But it is expected to be finished later in 2027.
