Turn-off moving old Inbox emails to Archive automatically - Outlook

How can I turn off the automatic moving of old emails from Inbox to Archive folder in Microsoft Outlook ? Is it possible to disable this function ?

It is possible to change or turn-off the automatic moving of old emails to archive in Outlook. You can do it for all the folders or only for the specific folder.

To disable automatic moving of old emails from all the folders to archive, go to Options, click on Advanced and then on AutoArchive Settings:



In the displayed window, you can turn-off the moving of old emails to archive automatically:



You can also change the AutoArchive settings for one folder, by clicking on the specific folder with right mouse button and choosing Properties:



Then in AutoArchive section, you can modify the settings according to your needs:
