How can I identify AI generated photos or videos ? How to detect the difference between AI generated and Non-AI generated photos and videos ?

As AI is improving, the quality of AI generated photos and videos is increasing, so it is more difficult to recognize AI generated content.

In case of some photos and videos, it is obvious that they are AI generated. But some AI generated photos and videos may appear very natural at the first sight.

To identify AI generated photos and videos, you have to focus on the following details:

• Overly Smooth Skin - AI often gives people flawless skin, that can be unnaturally smooth or even glowing sometimes.
• Face - AI generated face can lack real imperfections, like skin pores etc. It may look airbrushed.
• Mouth - When person is speaking, the lips may not perfectly match the spoken sounds.
• Hands - May look unnatural when moving.
• Reflections - Reflective surfaces (like water, glass, sunglasses or eyes) may not match the positioning or lightning of the subject.
• Shadows - Ensure shadows are in correct direction and they match the primary light source.
• Background - Objects in background may look unnatural.
• Frame To Frame Changes - Changes between images are not smooth.

To spot AI generated photos, look for illogical anomalies (usually in the background), inconsistent lightning or shadows, deformed text or logos.

People on AI generated photos may have unusual proportions, overly smooth (plastic like) skin or they may even look a bit cartoony.

I would say, it is easier to detect AI generated videos than AI generated photos.
