Good mobile phone screen resolution - how many pixels ?

What screen resolution is good for mobile phones ? What is an advantage when smartphone's display is having higher screen resolution ?

I would say that a good mobile phone display resolution is, when height and width of the screen is more than 1000 pixels. Higher smartphone display resolution allows you to see more details, sharper and clearer text and images. When comparing the screens, you have to also compare the pixel density of a display. More PPI (pixels per inch) is better.
