How to switch from GA 4 to classic layout in Google Analytics ?
I have created a new Google Analytics account, but there is a new GA 4 layout where a lot of things are different. How can I change it to a previous classic layout ?

Hi, If new property in account was created as GA4, I don't think it is possible to "downgrade" this property to a previous version, that is called Universal Analytics. What you can do, is create a new property and choose to use Universal Analytics. To create a new property using Universal Analytics (known as "old version", supporting only web measurement), you have to click on Show advanced options in Property setup: ![]() Then choose to create a Universal Analytics property: ![]()

Before you decide to choose Universal Analytics property, please note that Universal Analytics will be switched Google Analytics 4 property in the future. The following notification is now shown in Google Analytics: Universal Analytics will no longer process new data in standard properties beginning 1 July 2023. Prepare now by setting up and switching over to a Google Analytics 4 property.
